The Best Vegan Links On The Internet

Here are the best vegan links I've stumbled upon in my quest for knowledge. The data you have read on Vegan Nutritionista comes from these sources.

The Physician's Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), is a great resource for medical data. Their website has tons of research data, great info for beginning vegetarians, and even a section with tons of recipes. A few of these recipes are also in Food for Life, and I often go here when I am looking for an inspiring dinner menu. Go to this vegan link: www.pcrm.org.

Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), is the largest animal protection program. They work to end suffering and cruelty for all animals. As stated on their website, their mission is "Celebrating Animals, Confronting Cruelty." Check out www.hsus.org

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), is a world-renowned organization that works to improve the treatment of all animals, including farm animals that are used for food. It is the largest animal rights organization and has a wide-spanning reach on the public.

One of their great campaigns is the Go Veg campaign. Millions of pamphlets and guides to going vegetarian have been handed out. You can get your own free copy at www.goveg.com.

I have several recommendations for the best vegan links on the internet in addition to what you can find here at Vegan Nutritionista. Sometimes these vegan resources have helped me in creating the research I've provided for you here, and each is stocked with ample information to answer any questions you have about veganism or nutrition.

The Vegetarian Resource Group looks to educate the public about how food choices affect nutrition, world hunger, health, ecology, and ethics. They provide all kinds of information that can be useful both in deciding to eat a more plant-based diet, and in surviving when you are already on one. They also provide pamphlets, cookbooks, and articles from qualified writers at www.vrg.org

Local Harvest is a website dedicated to helping people across the United States find locally grown food in their area. It has a search engine to help you locate your local options for restaurants, farms, farmers' markets, and grocery stores. I use it to find CSAs near me and my friends: www.localharvest.org

The Vegan World Network is a great resource when you are looking for more information on the web. It has tons of links to other best vegan links.

Along the same lines of travel, if you're looking for Vegan SA - the veganism directory for South Africa, this is a great guide for you. It's well written and comprehensive for all South African vegans and travelers.
