From Non-vegetarian to Vegetarian

by Samantha

Most people watch sad and cruel videos that have been uploaded on the internet. After "people" view the videos of farm animal cruelty they decide to go Vegetarian....or might as well say, they say "this is so sad and cruel I'm going to definitely go vegetarian" or "Stupid fucking farm industry etc..."

Some people do become vegetarian but some just say they are but they really don't. I am one of those people who did become vegetarian after watching the sad illegal farm animal factory abuse, but I have realized that being a single vegetarian to my self isn't going to stop the animal abuse...so why be vegetarian if the only thing I'm doing is not putting meat into my body?

I'm not consuming any meat because animals are my friends and I don't eat my friends. I do get bothered seeing other people eat meat because meat does taste really good, but I learned to stay away from it...it's their thought and opinions about what they are eating (animals that have been brought to our world to live just like us human beings, but being beaten down for their fur or meat).

Every minute of every working day, thousands of animals are killed in slaughter-houses. Pain and misery are common. In the US alone, 500,000 animals are killed for meat every hour. Every day, tens of millions of one-day-old male chicks are killed because they will not be able to lay eggs. There are no rules about how this mass slaughter takes place. Some are crushed or suffocated to death. Animals who die for your dinner table die alone, in terror, in sadness and in pain. The killing is merciless and inhumane.

Animals suffer from pain and fear just as much as you do. How would you like to spend your last hours locked in a truck, packed into a cage with hundreds of other terrified animal and then cruelly pushed into a blood soaked death chamber. Anyone who eats meat condones and supports the way animals are treated. That's all I can say. I truly hope you are able to understand what my message is, and you see why I went from non-vegetarian to vegetarian.

If only everyone felt like you Samantha! We'd all actually be humans! And you are very right LyNel, it isn't in The Bible (the Bible tells of how God bent many rules to make man's "transitioning" back over to his ways easier for the time being, in other words to satisfy man's lust for the wicked until man would come back to God and be happy in God's ways which is by now long overdue; the suffering of animals has always been frowned upon by God - this is shown throughout the Bible) and yes, as the old saying goes "you are what you eat". People will always justify whatever they want no matter how wrong they are if they can cultivate enough support to support it whether they are using the Bible (easily twisted by the right people) or the FDA's Food Pyramid (which has changed over the years for obvious reasons). The next time that we second guess ourselves, I think that it is important they we think about exactly what Samantha says here - imagine ourselves and our feelings if we were in their shoes. Just like the Golden Rule " Do unto others as we would have done to ourselves" is always the best policy and "Respect" is a virtue often overlooked. Thank you so much for sharing your experience Samantha; you'll be comforted to know that there are many who share your feelings, there will be many more who also share your feelings and there have always been those who have shared your feelings way back since the beginning of time. Keep the right things you currently possess in your heart forever and you will never have regrets.

Samantha, I truly agree with your thoughts..It's horrible how millions of farm animals are abused before they are faced to death. I hope that sooner or later there will be an end to this horrible situation that is corresponding in our world...

Being Vegan for a reason?
by: LyNel

I never saw any animal cruelty on the internet. It was on the local Denver evening news. It was on Public Television on the weekends. It was confirmed to me by an actual rancher. He thought God put the animals on this earth to eat & says it's right in the Bible. There aren't any rules in the Bible for doing this. This is one good reason not to eat animals.

I don't eat animals or product made from animals live or dead because they are full of pesticides, antibiotics, hormones, & God only knows what else. If the animal eats it & you eat the animal, you eat what is in the animal. It always amazes me how many people think "what goes in always comes out." Well that is not true. Lots of toxins, chemicals, pesticides, antibiotics & etc are stored in your liver for a lifetime. Sooner or later it catches up with you & you have ruined your health. Same goes for GMO grown foods.
Just my thoughts.
