Are You a Healthy Grocery Shopper?
For some people, grocery shopping is just another chore, for some it's a scary trap full of temptation and guilt, and some find it a confusing mass of aisles and options. All the different nutrition information we've heard throughout our lives cycles through our minds, and we get confused by all the options; trans-fat free, cholesterol-free, fat-free, low-fat, vegan, parve, kosher, what does it all mean?
It's even worse for people thinking about changing to a vegan diet who are used to buying certain foods and suddenly need to come up with an entirely new strategy for shopping.
I think grocery stores are fun and fascinating, but I can also see why people find them so overwhelming. Check out my five best tips for healthy grocery shopping that won't leave you overwhelmed, frustrated, or with too much or too little food for the week.

This month we didn't have too many new, different questions come in to Vegan Nutritionista, so I wanted to share with you another amazing story of someone changing her life with a vegan diet. I am a type 2 diabetic who has become increasingly insulin resistant, despite drastic diets like Atkins and taking large amounts of insulin daily just to keep my sugars somewhat "normal".
God led me to Dr. John McDougall's website on my lunch break on August 14, 2011. That day, at noon, I became vegan. I now take insulin only rarely if I eat too much fat. Some weight has come off. I feel 100% better.
And after reading 25+ books on nutrition and the horrific, horrendous fact about factory farming, this has now become an almost all-consuming passion to end the suffering, (at least I no longer contribute to the suffering), and to live more healthfully.

If you're a vegan nutritionista yourself and have always thought about running a blog with your vegan recipes, you should think about an SBI website.
