You're Getting Plenty of Calcium, Aren't You?
September 27, 2018

What's Inside this Month?

Main Topic: Vegan Calcium Sources
Question of the Month: "Are artificial meat flavorings vegan?"
Recipes of the Month: Black and White Cookies and Milk

Have you noticed all those privacy policy statements popping up on websites recently? You may have heard of the requirements that we all make our websites GDPR compliant, and I have done this as well. I'm taking steps to ensure your privacy and I'm the only one who has access to your name and email address. I have never and will never sell your information to any outside sources, so you are just going to receive this newsletter from me and me alone. You can always unsubscribe if it no longer serves you (but I hope it does!) If you haven't been to my home page in a while, if you hop over and click the popup button to say you understand this, the popup should no longer appear.

Also, Vegan Nutritionista is now fully converted to https, which is a more secure URL, so any links you follow to other sources from my site will start with https. That may very well be super boring information to you, and let me tell you, it was a boring process to convert everything, but it's worth it to be up-to-date and compliant with web rules.

I Bet You're Getting Plenty of Calcium

People search for answers on Vegan Nutritionista for a variety of reasons, and this question ("But where do you get your calcium from?") falls into the category of: I'm tired of not being completely prepared to answer when people ask me if I'm getting enough calcium, so I am looking for a nicely presented way to respond.

Let me help you out by learning all about vegan calcium here.

The short of it is, you don't need to drink cow's milk in order to consume enough calcium!

"Are artificial meat flavorings vegan?"

"I love eating ramen, it's one of my favorite things to eat. And a lot of ramen has beef flavoring in it and I stay away from those. But I also see some that say ARTIFICIAL beef flavoring. So what I was wondering was, even though it says artificial does artificial beef still have beef or some form of meat in it?"

This question about meat flavorings is interesting and different. You can pop over to see my response and also to add anything you think will help this reader.
