Vegan Diet Weight Loss

I've lost 210 pounds on a vegan diet.

In 2005, I was a 40-year old 380 pound woman dealing with a terminal illness, however, through change and prayer, I have beaten the odds and lived longer than the doctors ever thought I would. In the process, I've lost more than 200 pounds.

I’m in the best shape of my life and smaller than I was in high school. This strict regime that I’ve created has dramatically improved my quality of life, re-energized the immune system and has given me a renewed spirit with the ability to get on with living.

I've done the research and man in the year 1812 came along and messed up with manufacturing of canned food and chemicals inside everything these days... I have MORE energy than all my friends combined and seeing me drop from 380 to 170 still hasn't made them see the light, no matter how much I teach them...

I'd say 99% of my eating regime comes from "strictly vegan" once or twice a year I may have a piece of salmon, but that's it for me. I'm down to 170 pounds with only 20 - 25 left to lose so I feel comfortable and the fat is gone...:)

You look good!!

I needed a life switch too
by: Jasmine

So a couple of years ago I was eating the usual western diet complete with many fast food meals, soda, and everything bad for you, I had also been smoking for five years and drinking just about every weekend (I was 18).

Then around this time last year my mom was on slim genics and she had lost about 60 pounds and I had the fortune of going on that diet, I quit drinking soda and eating fast food and drinking alcohol, I went from 160 lbs in January to 125 lbs in June!

After that diet was over I stuck to no fast food or soda at all (and have succeeded in that) but soon after I moved out of my mom's house and didn't really know what I was doing. I have been excercising regularly since July of 2012 but I gained weight and "didn't know why" then I quit smoking (around Halloween) so I was eating the fun size candies all of the time and gained more weight.

Once I realized I needed to do something, I quit eating sweets, except fruit, and quit eating carbs after lunch, what really put the nail in the meat coffin though, was watching all of the different documentaries on the American diet and health and all of that, it hasn't been too extremely long since I started but I know I will stick to this, just like I am sticking to quitting smoking, I have never felt better and have even been able to do without caffeine every day, I can't go back now. Sorry I wrote a book! Good luck on all of your endeavors!

You look amazing! Congratulations! Keep up the good new way of eating and thinking! I too have found more quality of life (with less pounds) through excluding animal products and toxins from my diet and body. I can never imagine going back to the way I used to be.
